World's Best Dad...Feet Down???

So, Gigi (my mom) sent me a shirt to give to B for Father's Day. The shirt said "World's Best Dad Hands Down" and it came with paint so that you could put your child's handprints on the shirt. The instructions suggested using feet for infants, but I thought to myself the shirts says "hands down" so footprints really won't make sense when other people see it. Gigi suggested trying to do it while Anna was sleeping. Well, she didn't stay asleep for long and this is what happened within seconds of putting her hand in the paint:

Luckily, the paint came right off with soap and water! Needless to say, I gave in and used her feet instead. Here is the shirt worn by the "World's Best Dad" on Father's Day:

Now that she is 6 weeks, Anna has started to smile a lot lately. Check out the little cutie in her Father's Day outfit:

4 Generations

Last weekend B's Grandma, Aunt Beverly, and Uncle Dennis came down from Missouri, so we had an opportunity to take this picture with 4 generations of Bruces.

B's Grandma, Lucy Merle Bruce, is 94 years old, still lives on her own, walks a mile everyday, and remembers almost everything from her childhood! She told us stories about herding turkeys on the farm, riding to school in a horse and wagon, and having class in a one room schoolhouse. We treasure time spent with her.
Anna's Granddad loves to hold her!

Anna turned one month today...I know it sounds so cliche, but it really has gone by so fast! She is on the verge of a smile in this picture, can you tell?

This morning I found Anna sucking her fingers and making the Longhorn sign, so we ran to get her hat in time to take a picture. I told B that she should send this picture in with her college application to show her lifelong dedication to UT.

Photo Shoot

Anna recently had her first photo shoot at 2.5 weeks old. Thank goodness we had her binkie to quickly pull out of her mouth before each shot and then quickly put back in. Here are some of our favorites:
