Last weekend we packed the car and drove to Pensacola, Florida to attend my good friend Rachel's wedding. Rachel is just one of those people with a creative touch, so I knew her wedding was going to be right out of the pages of a Martha Stewart Weddings edition magazine. From the parasols for the guests during the ceremony, to throwing little beach balls during the wedding recessional, and then sending post cards in lieu of signing a guest book, all the little details made it such a special wedding. But more important than that, we witnessed the joining of two people in marriage and we are so happy for Rachel and Lee!
Anna did amazing during the long car rides and hardly made a peep. She went to the beach for the first time and looked so cute in her sunglasses. I am so glad my old roommates, Cara and Rachel, got to meet her! Hopefully they will both hurry up and have little ones so our kids can be roommates at UT also! Here are some pictures from the weekend:

2 Months!
Anna is now 2 months and growing chunkier by the day. At her pedi appointment she weighed in at 12 lbs. 11 oz. (90-95th%), was 23.5 in (75-90th%) long, and had a head circumference of 39 cm (50th). She is smiling, cooing, loves to chew on her hand and tries to fit the whole thing in her mouth, and sleeps 8 hours at night. We are so thankful for our healthy baby and the joy she brings to our family!

Fun in H-town!
Last week Anna and I went down to Houston to spend time with my sister and her new baby. Cousin Marcus was born on June 7th and is just so precious. His big brother Lucas is getting used to these new babies and kept saying Anna's name. He even gave her a kiss without our prompting! Grandpa Gene came up from Victoria to meet his two newest grandbabies and bring lots of new toys for Lucas. My friend from elementary school, Vanessa, stopped by with her little guy, Parker, to meet Anna and hang out.
Leaving Houston was really hard because my sister and I always talked about having our kids close in age and living in the same neighborhood. The older I get, the more I realize how much I enjoy spending time with my family and want to be close to them!
