After who knows how many days of extreme heat and drought, we finally got just enough rain to make a few puddles. Anna had some rain boots sitting in her closet that she had only worn to play dress up. We threw on the boots and in between lightning bolts (don't worry, they were not close and we were very safe!), ran out to jump in the puddles.
Then we just hung out on the porch watching the rain (pretty entertaining when you haven't seen it for several months), throwing acorns, and
playing with sissy who was watching rain for the first time in her little life. (It is partially the angle, but Haven looks almost as big as Anna in this picture!)

ReplyDeleteWe love playing in the rain too. Last spring we would often take a big blanket and sit on our front porch...and eat lunch or read books and then run and play in the rain.
