Sorry for the cheesy title, but I couldn't resist. :) Anna had another big first recently...her first movie! She had never even watched a movie on a TV screen. I wasn't sure how she would do but had a feeling she would be mesmerized by the big screen. She LOVED every second of it! Even during the previews, she would exclaim "another one!". Winnie the Pooh was such a sweet kids movie with a great message on friendship, but wasn't as entertaining for adults since there weren't any inside jokes.
All day we told her that after her nap we were going to take her somewhere for a surprise. In the car on the way there, we gave her a Winnie the Pooh book to read, told her where we were going and explained some movie etiquette.
I couldn't stop laughing at her serious face that she had most of the movie. She was so intent on not missing anything.
She looks sad in the picture because we are leaving and she didn't want to. We had to sit through almost all the credits and were the last ones in the theatre.
Haven came too and slept and nursed through the whole movie without making a sound. Don't worry, she isn't always this perfect. At church on Sunday, she screamed during a moment of complete silence because the pastor said to meditate on how much God loves us. As I was scrambling to get out, he jokingly said "God loves that baby too".
Anna also had another first that day. I put her hair in a full ponytail for the first time and thought her face looked so cute. She really is a little girl now.
Aww, that's a precious picture! I'm planning on taking the kids to Winnie the Pooh one hot afternoon this week - glad to hear you liked it!
ReplyDeleteVery cute pictures. We had talked about seeing Winnie the Pooh but I was afraid the twins wouldn't sit still for the whole thing.
