For the third year in a row, we attended what is referred to as one of the top three arts festivals in the nation and it is right in downtown Fort Worth. This year was definitely the most crowded or maybe it just seemed more so since we were pushing a stroller through the crowds. Usually we go and listen to some live music and leisurely stroll through each vendor which is like going from one art gallery to another. This year, we stayed in the kids section almost the entire time. Our experience was enjoyable but in a different way. It was fun to see Anna do a couple of art projects and get her face painted like a butterfly. She sat so still and serious while it was being painted and actually kept in on for a couple of hours.
The cousins checking out each other's painted faces.
Just wanted to include the next two pictures to demonstrate Brad and my contrasting tastes. The first picture is a piece of art that caught my eye and made me walk up for a closer look. It is a flower and made of earthy, organic materials.
This is something I walked right past but Brad paused to examine. Notice it is geometric and composed of man-made materials that are primary colors.
Guess that is why I became an environmental biologist and he became an engineer. We really balance each other out!
